The chair is upholstered in a top grain geuine leather seat which is not only high quality but is very durable and wears well through the years beyond fabric or faux leather. You can order the chair without arms however the arms have an important role in helping to support the arms supporting the upper shoulder and back and also offer stability when you are perched up high getting in and off the stool.
